irst, read this article I wrote in February of last year.

Ok, so now House is off of Vicodin. I watched for a while to see when he was going to get back on it.

Several times this year I have forgotten that House even recorded & it wasn't until other people were talking about it that I realized I hadn't watched the latest new episode.

Do they not realize that people really don't like change?
Now House and Cuddy are going to be together?

It's over, man. I can hear the "24" beeping clock right now.

Fucking writers.

*sigh*

Maybe they're sick of it? LOL. I mean, I'm sure it's nice to have a steady job, so WHY THE HELL would they hook House up with anyone? Do they not realize that people really don't like change?

Shows fail because the writers or producers decide to start changing the things that made the show successful in the first place, or the flipping networks keep moving shows around and people have to decide what they want to watch more.

I hope this Huddy thing only lasts a few episodes next season, like the relationship with Stacy in the 2nd season. Seriously.

I already lost Ugly Betty, 24 and Lost. I don 't want to lose another favorite show.

On the plus side, Grey's Anatomy season finale was AWESOME! I was on the edge of my seat like I was watching a suspense movie! Loved it. If you haven't watched it yet, watch it online! I'm glad they got ride of some of those merger suckers and I'm glad they kept my McDreamy, "My Green Eyes". :-)

It's true, I forgot all about House on Monday

arlier today (Tuesday) I got a comment from someone asking me what song was playing at the end of Monday's episode of House.

My reply was "Last night was a repeat so I didn't watch it. I don't know what episode you saw."

Then one of my JJHF Peeps told me she saw last nights episode and "someone died in their apartment. Cuthbert or something. Was it Kumar?"

My response was "I have no idea what you're talking about. Cutner (Kumar) is still alive so far. I know someone is supposed to die this season, though."

So I looked at my DVR recordings.

There was a new House that recorded last night and Evan and I BOTH forgot to watch it. Last week was a repeat and since so many other shows seem to be on Spring Break this week, I guess I just assumed that House was too.

Didn't even think about it, LOL.

But I have watched it now.

I'm happy for Kal Penn doing what he wants to do and working for Obama, but it sucks that Kutner's gone because I really liked him. I would have preferred that Taub left.

Anyway, I really wasn't that interested in last night's show. Compared to others this season, it was just kind of "blah".

But I did learn that Meat Loaf has a last name. It's Aday. Freaky.

That is all.

I have to go watch Fringe & whatnot. :-)

Am I not a "real" House fan?

only wonder because when I go to other blogs like House is Right or Watching House everyone else seems much more worried about every other character on the show.

Let me make this clear:

I don't give a flying fart about Cuddy, Wilson, Cameron, Chase, or 13.

I only "like" the characters because they give House the opportunity to be funny or brilliant or an ass.

That's all.

Wilson has always gotten on my nerves because he's House's conscience. I enjoyed the private detective's character more than Wilson because he was just funny. If House happened to have one of his brilliant flashes or learn something about himself while talking to the guy, that was just a bonus. Wilson's sole purpose, IMO, is to be the audience. He's always the one to say "That's insane, you shouldn't do that." and for exposition's sake, he adds "But I know why you're doing it. It's because..."

The one who should be telling House that he's insane is his boss, Cuddy. Does she? No. Because she's a punk bitch. He does whatever he wants to do and she stands by and lets it happen.

Chase has gotten more interesting this season. He stands up to House a little more than he has in the past, but he still ends up doing what it is that House wants him to do. If I never saw him again, I wouldn't care. Not even a little bit.

Cameron is just in love with House. I don't care how many times she denies it. I don't care how many ways she tries to prove that she's in charge. She's just the girl following him around like a puppy dog and eventually doing what House wants her to do.

13 is hot. She's a little interesting because of her history & future. But I don't care if she dies. I don't care if she goes blind. I don't care if she marries Foreman or breaks his heart or goes on a killing spree in Princeton, New Jersey. She's just there.

The show needs people who try to give House a hard time. Characters that try to make him realize that he's a jerk and he doesn't need to be.

I suppose it helps that the characters have history with him, because he's more likely to think about what they say to him. But I don't care about them individually, feel me?

Someone is "upset" because Jesse Spencer's character (Chase) won't be in the 100th episode.

So what!?!?

People were upset when House's original team left and he got the new 'kids'.

Whatever.

I started watching the show because this doctor was funny and "almost always eventually right" (be the first person to tell me what episode that quote is from and I'll give you 500 EC credits.)

The other characters on the show have always been glorified extras to me. I don't care about their lives. I don't need their history.

I don't even care about House's history. I just want to know what he's going to do next.

Mark my words, people. The second that House gets into a romantic relationship with one of his sycophants (Wilson, Cuddy, or Cameron) and attempts to be happy, or stops using Vicodin, or tries to be 'a better man', the show will stop being interesting to me and everyone else.

Monica & Chandler got together, Friends was over.
Dewayne Wayne got Whitley & they weren't funny anymore.
Max & Kyle got together instead of arguing constantly and Living Single went in the toilet.
Lois & Clark got married and the public got bored.

You may think you want House to be happy, but you really don't. Not if you want the show to continue...

am so happy that the writers stepped up to the plate this week! I LOVED the show. If you didn't record it (and save for the foreseeable future), or watch it live (????) check your tv schedule (Pronounced SHED-yule) for the repeat!

The only thing that sucked on the show was Kanye West. (Seriously, WTF was that? He's trying to sing now? And do Michael Jacksonesque dance moves? Really?!!?)

House Season Finale

e just finished watching it. I liked it.

You shouldn't read this if you haven't watched it yet.

I do not care that Cutthroat Bitch (Amber) is dead. In fact, it would not disappoint me at all if Wilson got so mad at House (blaming him for something that isn't/wasn't his fault) that he quit PPH and went somewhere else.

I still haven't forgiven him for lying to House in Season 3, LOL.

Honestly, I don't need Cameron or Chase either. I like the adversarial relationship between House & Foreman. I enjoy the interplay between House & Cuddy. The new team (Kutner, 13 & the other guy) don't get on my nerves (yet).

I'm excited to see what happens next season.

I will also enjoy seeing new interviews with Hugh on Craig Ferguson & Ellen when it's time for Season 5 to begin. :-)

ugh Laurie was on Craig Ferguson last night. Did you watch? I told you to watch! I'm also pretty sure that I told you that Hugh seems more comfortable being interviewed by Craig than by Leno or others.

2 of my favorite accented Europeans on one show. *swoon* I've saved it. I'll watch it over & over until I get House Season 4 on DVD in September (presumably).

y imaginary BF is going to be on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson tonight. WHEEEEEEEEEE! Watch it.

Dexter's season finale last night was AWESOME! Does anyone know how many seasons of that show that there have been? I think I might buy Season 1 on DVD. It would be nice if they played Season 2 on CBS next year, but I don't know...

I'm also going to buy George Lopez "Why you crying?" on DVD. I've seen it several times, but I LOVE IT. I recorded it Saturday night & watched it again. I also recorded his new one "America's Mexican" (or whatever) last night but I haven't been able to watch it yet. I was WORN OUT from all of yesterday's activity.

This week's Song of the Week is "La Raza" by Kid Frost. First, because he's Mexican and G Lo kept talking about la raza Saturday night (See? It makes sense when you connect the dots) and second, when my mother's other daughter was still my sister, she was best friends with Kid's sister (so she knew him too) when we lived in New Mexico. So it's a little shout out to one of my old "razas". Where I had my first BFs. The "older man" who was about 6'4" and used to let me stand on his feet while he walked me home (I was 4) and the one who brought me candy on Valentine's Day and I said thanks and slammed the door in his face (We were in Pre-K together.). :-)

That is all. I must go watch the crap I slept through last night, LOL.

Image via WikipediaYesterday, Hugh Laurie was on The Tonight Show. He talked about what he did during the writer's strike (nothing), his new movie "Street Kings" and some other crap.

It wasn't as good as some of the interviews I've seen him give to Jay, but I look forward to his appearance next week on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. I love them both. Hugh always seems more relaxed when he's talking to Craig.

Speaking of Craig, he's hosting the White House Correspondent's Dinner tonight. It's supposed to be on C-Span. It's not on the program guide, but I'm taping C-Span from 8-11pm in hopes of catching it.

Ok.

It's all right. I mean, I enjoy not having to look up all the sites and then manually link to them (including target=_blank), but a) I can think of other Hugh Laurie pics I'd rather have & b) I wouldn't send everybody to imdb.com for every fricking link (except the one that's pointing to Wikipedia...)

I can't see using this very often... I suppose we shall see.

In the voice blog, I told Evan that I might take some pictures to show how my face looked during the "incident".

He looks horrified. Like he just saw the 2 girls video....

So I had to take one. Even though I'm not even wearing any makeup. I was not prepared to take a picture today, LOL.



I think that picture expresses the joy I felt at seeing my beau on TV Guide. (I've only ever bought TV Guide twice. And only because Hugh was on the cover...)

But if I'm honest, my face probably did look more like Evan's, LOL. Because even though Randi had talked about this issue on her "Watching House" blog, I had forgotten about it....

Jeeves & Wooster

Well, I finished watching the entire series.

Let me state for the record that after I've watched a lot of BBC TV, I start 'speaking' differently. Not with a different accent, but with a different 'voice'. Similar to when Caucasians hang out with their black friend from "da hood" and start speaking the White People Version of Ebonics.

So, let the review commence:

Too much singing, IMO. In Seasons 3 & 4, they had a few episodes where Jeeves & Wooster were in New York. On those episodes, they had Broadway-like tunes. So I fast forwarded until I thought I saw a person talking.

I hate musicals. Did I tell you that before? Surely I have. If I haven't, let me state clearly that I HATE MUSICALS!

This show isn't Viva Laughlin by any stretch, but it's a whole lot of freaking singing. And NO, I've never watched Viva. Not my cup of tea even before I heard it was a musical series.

One day this month I might get into why I hate musicals (because I'll need something to write about during NaBloPoMo). But let's stick to Jeeves & Wooster for this post.

So, too much singing.

In almost every episode, Wooster is playing the piano and singing a song from that nonsensical era in song writing.

I love Hugh Laurie as much as one can love someone having never actually met said person, but My Honeyed Hambone does NOT have a good singing voice. (Sorry, Hugh!)

I do enjoy his comedic talent. For the most part. He pulls a few way too many faces for my liking. (Similar to Jim Carrey on "In Living Color".) His timing is excellent, though. He and Stephen Fry are an incomparable team.

Which leads me to another thing I didn't like about the series.

WHY does Wooster have to be so stupid?

When I'm crushing on someone, I don't want to see him making an ass of himself. I don't generally enjoy broad comedy, but I really don't like seeing "my guy" as the butt of all the jokes. (When The Rock played the simple-headed wannabe actor in "Be Cool", it was the beginning of the end of my long imaginary relationship with him.)

I shall console myself with the thought that no one would buy Stephen Fry as an idiot, not with his resonant baritone. So Hugh Laurie had to be dim witted Bertie Wooster. Their roles suited their strengths.

Or some similarly solacing thought...

I also found myself rolling my eyes every time on of Wooster's friends showed up.

Here's a general plot line for the series:

One of Wooster's idiotic friends or aunts shows up.
Said friend is having a problem with the woman he loves. (If it's an aunt, she wants Wooster to marry someone, steal something or convince someone to do something.)
Wooster tries to help said friend but invariably makes things worse.
Jeeves saves the day.

It gets hard keeping all of those characters straight. Almost every character, other than Jeeves or Wooster, seems to be re-cast in each season. If this was an American soap opera, we'd at least hear "The part of Tuppy is now being played by..." Alas, no such indication.

That brings me to another thing I do not like about Jeeves & Wooster. This is the fault of the BBC and A&E more than the actual show, however.

There is no closed captioning and no "play all" feature on the DVDs.

I can't hear the television very well. It's those years listening to Prince albums at full volume on my record player combined with the A/C & Evan making perpetual noise, I suppose. But it's especially hard to understand foreign accents. It's convenient to just be able to read WTF someone just said.

I should sue. Not having closed captioning is discriminatory & exclusionary. Or something...

And it's annoying having to play just one episode of of the show at a time.

I said yesterday that it puts me to sleep. If there was a "play all" option, I could set the DVD player to repeat. But nooooooooooooo, I have to be rudely interrupted from my precious sleep because I keep hearing the annoying menu song over and over and over and over.

I should definitely sue. How can they produce something that finally helps me get to sleep and then jerk me out of that ever so nectareous respite so rudely????

I just remembered, when you're giving criticism, you're supposed to soften the blow by saying something nice.

Evan likes it. So I can save on my electricity bill by having him watch TV with me instead of paying to run extra lights, an extra TV and an extra DVD player. Best of all, I don't have to hear motherflipping cartoons to do it.
