Just my opinion

Feeling Normal

I

've been smoking the e-cig for 8 days now. The only thing that irritated me was when the battery died and I had to wait for what seemed like 4 hours before it was fully charged & I could smoke again.

So I decided to get another sample e-cig from a different brand (Prado). I wondered if they were all the same configuration and I found out that NO, they aren't all the same. My original e-cig is the M401 model, so I googled for other M401 model e-cigs & found Prado.

The original e-cig sample I bought was $3.95 (or something, I just paid S&H) and the Prado was $9.95 & it came with less stuff.

Direct E-CigE-cig came with 10 cartridges (with the nicotine) and a USB charger that you can plug into your computer or your regular wall outlet.

For MORE MONEY, the Prado came with only 5 cartridges and a USB charger that can only be plugged into your computer or, if you are like me and have an ipod adapter in your cigarette lighter in your car, you can plug it in there.

I wanted 2 e-cigs so I could smoke one & charge the other.

I have no idea why I started writing this, but I wanted to say that Prado tastes much better than the other e-cig. Before I ordered the Prado, I ordered some nicotine from the original e-cig company. It's "Marlboro flavored menthol". Since I was smoking cigars & not cigarettes, nothing was going to taste the same as that.

But anyway, the Prado tastes more like spearmint mint to me & not menthol.

Whatever.

Prado E-CigI think they also offer chocolate & other flavors? I don't know. But since I know I like the taste of the prado better, I can just buy cartridges from them & use them on either cig thingee.

After I finish using all the Mboro Liquid I bought.

:-)

Smoking the E-cig

Feeling Normal

I

haven't had a "real" cigar-ette in 2 days.

I had been smoking my "actual cigarettes" when Evan is gone or in the middle of the night. But when we're in the car or at my mom's I'd smoke the e-cig instead of going outside to smoke a real one.

Finally ran out. But I noticed before I did that I kept letting them stop "burning" because I'd gotten use to the e-cig when I could drag when I wanted to instead of however often you had to drag to keep a regular one going.

No jitters & no irritability.

Now I can step down on my MG of nicotine & eventually just be "smoking" flavored vapor with no nicotine.

Wheeeeeeeeeee!

Check out my ashtray

Feeling Normal

O

kay, so I think you all know I smoke. If you didn't know, now you do. ☺

Metal AshtrayAnyway, I have a habit of breaking my ashtrays. I don't buy glass anymore. For a while I was just using an old coffee mug with the handle broken off. Then I bought a small metal one (I knew I couldn't break that unless I ran over it with my car) but it's so small and I seem to constantly knock it over so ashes are everywhere.

I wanted a new ashtray that wasn't so small & wasn't breakable.

I went to The Dollar Tree (where everything is $1 or less) and bought a dog bowl. I've used it for about a week & I love it. The only thing was I couldn't lay the cig down while I did something else because it would fall all the way in the bowl.

So I tried burning a hole in it by heating up a spoon (or something) that was the same size as the cigarette. Didn't work out too well. Then I remembered that I have a Dremel. I marked the spot where I wanted the cigarette to stay and got to work.

Evan was home (he's taking auto mechanics in school now) and so he's all "I'll do it!"

Me - I want to get it how I want it and then you can do the rest of them.

So he did.

Angelika's Ashtray, side viewNow I have my ugly ass hole & his 3 PROFESSIONAL LOOKING HOLES. It pisses me off at the same time that it makes me happy.

I used to be the one who fixed everything and took vcrs & shit apart to fix them. Now my son is taking over. I am proud but also feeling a little replaceable. :-(

I guess all mothers go through this when our children don't need us like they used to or look at us like we make the sun rise every morning.

Anyway, here's my new $1 ashtray, made by Mr. Professional looking shit Evan. ;-p

Angelika's New Ashtray

****Breaking News****

I was driving MD's car last week (I don't remember if I told you this or not) and we got in a wreck (not my fault). No person was injured, just a little cosmetic damage on both cars.

Anyway, today my mother said to me "Did I ever tell you how calm you were when we were driving in the city? Even after the accident you didn't get upset or cry or freak out or anything. You were so cool."

I can't remember her ever giving me a compliment about anything other than my looks, LOL. It was nice.

It was also nice because it reminded me that she used to say the same thing about my father. He never "looked" ruffled. Whatever was going on inside, on the surface he was in charge.

:-)

So many great things have been happening to me this week. I don't think I have the time to tell you all of them. But I thought I would tell you something nice about my mother for a change.

TTYL!

The dude at the Liquor Store wants me...

ABC Liquor Store

W

hat makes me think this?

Yesterday, I went there to see if they had any cigars. He didn't, but the dude said he'd order some for me. So I ordered 3 cartons (one month's worth). In case you haven't been keeping up, I switched from cigarettes to cigars when my cigarettes went from $18/carton to $38/carton.

I went by this morning @ 11 and they weren't there yet, but he told me that he'd have them by lunch time.

So I called Mommy Dearest and asked her if she wanted to go to lunch.

We went out and had Chinese Food. I stuffed myself with General Tzo's Chicken, Crab Claws & almond cookies.

Devil MinivanOn my way out, I saw the Devil's Minivan. :-)

Now, I don't know if the actual Devil drives that van, but I've never seen a license plate that started with 666 before. Maybe she just has devilish children...

Anyway, when we were done, MD took me by the liquor store again.

Cheyenne CigarsDude - Well, they're here. How many do you want?
Me - All of them.
Dude - Oh! Well, if you just give me $44 I'll let you have them.
Me - Ok!
Dude - My number here is 555-0000 and I order every Wednesday. If you just call me and let me know how many you want, I'll have them here on Thursday.
Me - Cool!

Then MD wanted some regular Kahlua (sp?) but they only had Mudslide. So he told her he'd order some regular next Wednesday.

When I got home, I saw the price on the carton.

So, if they're supposed to be sold for $1.89/pack. It should be at least $17/carton.

He basically charged me $14.30 with no tax.

That's how I know he wants me.

I'd do him too.

If he asked.

He's a silver fox.

Weeeeeeeeeeeeee.

I don't think he's the same dude who owned the store when my alcoholic neighbor was going with him. She only slept with him because he gave her free cigarettes and beer. She's since died of Cirrhosis of the Liver. She was only 27. But whatever.

If I can get laid AND get bargains on cigarettes, I'm totally down.

I just hope he doesn't have to sell out to some Indians, because if he does, NO MO BARGAIN FO ME, my friend! (Indians have bought every other gas station and liquor store in the tri-county area.)

I'm going to take a nap.

Ta!

Smoking

J

ust when I thought I was done, I got pulled back in!

Sigh

I

don't have anything to say.

I'm trying to decide if I'm really going to quit smoking cold turkey today (no cigs since yesterday) or if I'm going to buy some cigs.

But I don't feel like going out.

And Evan won't be home until after 6, so I won't have to deal with him for very long before he goes to bed.

Isn't it interesting how I can always find a reason why I shouldn't stop smoking today?

It's Thursday. If I quit smoking now that means a whole weekend with no cigarettes and then next week is Thanksgiving. So I should wait until December...

Heh.

My back hurts. I'm out!

Wednesday, October 29, 2008

I bought a pack of cigarettes.

B

ecause I felt like it.

I asked Evan if he thought switching schools would help him do his work. He said "No."

I didn't think so, but I had to ask. Made sure no one is bullying him or making fun of me. (Everyone at his school always asks about me because they know I have MS. They must think I'm dying. I have no idea what he tells them.) He said "No."

Then I was watching Coolio's Rules and I made him watch a particular scene when Coolio is talking to his son, who has no ambition other than being a rapper. He doesn't have a job, doesn't want to get a job. Doesn't want to help around the house, etc.

I was talking to Evan about the fact that his ONLY JOB is to do the best that he can do in school. Yes, I make him help out around the house, but I had to do that too.

I had to mow the lawn, wash the dishes, clean up around the house and STILL make Straight A's in school.

I told him for the 5 millionth time that he is not thinking about his future.

I don't even want to go into it again.

But I ended with "You don't have the right to say that you're tired of school. You've been going for seven years. You're 12. Get over it. There's always going to be something that you don't want to do or don't like to do. You'll have the opportunity to get a career that you love if you get into college. If you don't, you'll just have a job and whether you like it or not, you'll have to do it to pay your bills."

I sent him to bed.

Then I went to get cigarettes.

I got the cheapest brand (which always tastes disgusting).

Whatever.

I'm going to take a xanax and hope that it fixes my effing neck because the heating pad isn't doing crap. :-(

I'm not here

M

y neck hurts. Actually, it's my spine that hurts in the neck area.

And I want a cigarette.

*sigh*
