am normally very anti "getting ready for Christmas" when it's not even December.

But I was tired of my blog design.

Those of you who've been reading from the beginning (which might be all of 3 people) know that I changed my layout ALL THE TIME until someone said it might be off-putting to some readers.



That was back when I cared.


So I've compromised with not changing it every month. But I was really tired of that background.

And it's almost December. Plus if I just get rid of the little "merry Christmas" I can keep this all winter.

So deal.

I'm making some changes

am trying to switch from Haloscan back to blogger comments so that I can have the commentluv for blogger.

Bear/bare? with me (Note to self: Ask Karlonia if it's bear or bare. Bare makes me think of "Get naked"...)

And if YOU know how to import your haloscan comments to blogger, let me know. I've already exported them on an XML file.

Ok, NO MORE Reciprocal Links!

I

was reading the comments on my last post about Reciprocal Links, and I realized that I never visit those particular blogs unless they happen to have Entrecard.

So, the choice is yours. Get Entrecard, or have a really good blog that I'd want to visit anyway.

A little housekeeping...

o, from time to time, someone e-mails me or comments that they'd like to exchange links with me.

Fine.

But every once in a while, I go to check their blogs to see if my link is still there.

Yesterday, I had about 20 people on my Reciprocal Link list and only half of them still had a link to my blog on their blog.

Why ask me for a link exchange if you aren't going to fulfill your end of the bargain?

There are a lot of links on my blog which are not reciprocal links. I put them there because I've visited the blog and liked it. I usually add those to "My Favorite Blogs" or to my "Entrecard Blogs" list if they have EC. I don't expect them to link to me. It's nice if they do, but I linked to them because that's a blog I'll actually read on a semi regular basis.

So, if you are one of those people who asked to exchange links with me and now you don't see your link anywhere on my blog, that's why.

to find if your link is on my blog:

Load my page
Hit CTRL + F
Type the name of your blog in the space provided
Click "Next".

That's how I find out if I'm on your blog you bunch of LiarLiars! (Evan's new favorite word)

was reciprocating on the people who had already dropped on me.

I saw at least 3 blogs that didn't even have an Entrecard.

DO NOT DROP ON ME IF I CAN'T RECIPROCATE!

It pisses me off. Especially when the frakkin blog is in a different language THAT I CAN'T UNDERSTAND. I'm not going to try and translate your blog, you idiot. Especially if you don't have one of the Google Translator widgets on your blog. (DUR!)

Yes, I realize that it can be construed as "pissy". But I'm sick of people who don't take the effing time to LOOK AT THEIR OWN BLOG after they post something to see if it can actually be read.

Here's something you may not know: BLOGGERS ARE LAZY.

If I have to translate your blog or highlight all the text to be able to read your blog, or search for whatever is playing that horrible funereal hymn, I am LEAVING.

I will not comment. I will not find out if your blog is a place I'd like to visit again.

If you can't fix it yourself, HIRE SOMEONE TO DO IT.

hat do you think when you take the time to comment on someone's blog and then they delete it?

I'm not talking about using profanity or saying something rude, I mean a regular comment.

I've noticed this a few times.

But this is one of the blogs I visited every day.

Until now.

What, you don't like me stating the obvious? You think my intelligence makes all your other readers feel stupid?

Fine.

Kiss my lumpy ass. You don't have to worry about any more comments that SHOULD BE OBVIOUS TO ANYONE WITH HALF A BRAIN from me anymore.

I'm going to try to figure out how to make the tabbed navigation look decent. I don't understand it. And I don't like the way the pages look when I click on the tabs. Why doesn't it look like the rest of my blog? (Post Pages)

But I HAVE successfully changed my favorite blogs list to a widget which will list the blogs in the order that they've last updated. Most recent first! Wheeeeeeeee!

have written several scheduled posts so that there will be new blog post every day. Those include what books I'm reading & after they have been read, I will be posting reviews. :-)

I finished "Cross" by James Patterson & am half way through "Double Cross". I don't know when that post will show up, LOL.

Evan will be dropping for me on my favorite blogs & some others in exchange for a DVD that he wants, but I'll be checking my comments because I can't quit the internet cold turkey! (Don't laugh at me, Motherwise.)
