am trying to switch from Haloscan back to blogger comments so that I can have the commentluv for blogger.Bear/bare? with me (Note to self: Ask Karlonia if it's bear or bare. Bare makes me think of "Get naked"...)

I'm interested to know what you find out. A friend of mine swears that she can't load my blog. Wondering if it's haloscan. I lost a lot of comments when I switched to haloscan. *Sigh*

ReplyDeleteYes, you have the right idea -- bare does mean to "get naked", although it can also be used in the more general sense of exposing something and can apply to objects as well as people. I have included a more detailed explanation of the bear vs. bare issue in my reply to your query at Entrecard.
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile, I'm glad that you are switching from Haloscan back to Blogger. I was never particularly fond of Haloscan's commenting system; most of time when I have tried to comment on Haloscan blogs, they wouldn't even give me a proper backlink. Sometimes I would be able to put my URL in there, but the link would just read as "Homepage" -- that's terrible anchor text for SEO!
Still haven't gotten very far.

Wow, I am impressed. I would like to break away from Haloscan oppression, but haven't been brave enough to attempt it. Of course, on a scale of one to a zillion, I'm about at a three on bloggy tech skills.
