hank you to Pinklady for these blog awards! I asked if this was an April Fool's joke, but I don't think she'd do that type of thing. :-)









I got all these awards because, together with the Generosity Award, Bing (That's what I'll call her today because she always signs her comments with Bing) was in a generous mood. :-)

I was supposed to go to Wally World with MD this morning, but my knees are both acting up. So I spent the morning having insane dreams with ice packs on my knees.

The ice packs didn't work. :-( Whatever, I needed some milk & bread, so I had to go to Wal-Mart. I found out that my cigarettes went up from $20/carton to $34/carton so I decided now's the time to quit and went and refilled my xanax prescription, LOL.

I feel sorry for The Boy when I run out of cigs...

So we went to the pharmacy & on the way there, half of the sky was sunny and the other half was cloudy. So Evan took this picture:

Then we stopped by MD's house to give her a sample of Baby Wipes with Shea Butter.

I'm allergic to Shea Butter. I didn't know that until I had been using lotion with shea butter for the longest time and couldn't figure out why the heck I was itching all the time.

Ennyway, she said she wanted to go to Western Sizzlin but she didn't feel like it after she'd gotten home this morning. Sooooo Evan and I talked her into going.

Evan and I ate her money's worth. It was my breakfast. OH! I forgot to tell you about my retarded dream.

While I had the ice packs on my knees, I fell asleep.

I dreamt that I had gone to Movie Gallery and asked them if they took checks. It wasn't MY Movie Gallery, it looked completely different in the dream.

The chick at the register said she needed to see my license. My license was from Brooklyn, NY. I was thinking "Oh crap. I haven't lived in Brooklyn in forever. I hope that doesn't matter." (I've never lived in Brooklyn)

Then the chick needed my license plate #. I told her that I don't know my license plate and I was riding with my brother. She said "Oh, it doesn't matter. I just have to put something down here."

So we went outside and my brother saw 2 police cars and he said "Shit! I have to get out of here"

Then I woke up.

Retarded, right?

Anyway, I got a blog award from Kat @ Candles Crafts and Whatnot.



Thanks, Kat! That was a nice surprise to come home to! I'll pass it on when I have a chance to think about it.

So then I took a bath and washed my hair (the hair that I still haven't straightened yet). I took a video.

Giving out some Awards: Part One

'm finally passing on some of the blog awards given to me, if I don't fall asleep again (new meds = actual sleep).

I should do this in the order in which I received them.

I'm supposed to tell 10 things about myself & name 10 bloggers.

1. I think David Tennant is cute. He grew on me since I started watching Dr. Who. Now he's leaving. :-( The good thing about it is that he'll stop competing with Hugh Laurie for my favorite Brit.
2. I like pickles.
3. Only the nail on my middle finger breaks. So I have to cut the other nails to match. But I do enjoy showing MD that I broke a nail. :-)
4. I wish I had the $$$ to send Evan to Boarding School until he grows out of his PMSlike Teen Years!
5. I am both horrified and fascinated by the reality shows on VH1
6. I read some of Evan's books that he got for Christmas because they're actually interesting even though they're for the pre-teen set.
7. I watch Robot Chicken
8. I spend too much time online
9. I have about 176 programs on my DVR Series list. Not all of them are on at the same time, obviously. Some are summer programs, mid season replacements, etc.
10. I'm going to kill The Boy if he doesn't stop throwing a fit and stomping on the floor upstairs!

Yesterday - 1/19/09

I

called MD to see how she was doing (much better) and listened to her talk for 9 minutes & 43 seconds about watching all the shit today about Martin Luther King Jr & Barack Obama.

She finally took a breath and said "You don't really understand, do you?"
Me - I understand what it feels like to have never thought I'd see a black president in my lifetime. I was excited after he won, not so much today. Still have to see if he gets killed tomorrow or if he actually gets in the oval office. But I understand it being much more moving to you than for me.

Plus...I just don't get that excited about shit.

We don't really know Obama. Whatever he's planning won't take effect right away. It probably won't change my life that much regardless (unless I stop having to pay deductible/co-pay for Dr visits and Medicare finally starts paying for Dentists & Optometrists).

Even if I did get excited over things, I couldn't sustain excitement for MONTHS.

*sigh*

But I am excited that I got three (3) blog awards yesterday! 3 awards that I've never gotten before, even! :-)

Ok, I entered a blog contest @ Joe Tech's Blog and I won 1000 EC credits from KishahberuanG.com. I don't even remember when I entered it...


I also got a blog award from Abby @ The (Gradually) Shrinking Violet.

That was nice and really unexpected because 1) she's never commented (if you have, forgive me for my forgetfulness) and 2) I don't remember seeing her EC in my drops inbox. Of course, I'm sure I don't return drops on everyone who drops on me, but I really try to after visiting my favorite blogs.

Um...10 blogs? I don't know about 10 blogs, LOL.

Oh yeah, I've been watching new shows too. Daddy's Girls, Chopped, and Ultimate Recipe Showdown. Maybe I'll write about them tomorrow if I have nothing else to blog about. :-)

ince everyone else in the world is giving out the same 4 or 5 blog awards that are being passed around like the common cold, I decided to create one of my own.

You know how sometimes a blog has one good post, so you bookmark it. Then they either disappear off the face of the earth, or every post since the one that initially caught your attention has sucked?

Well, this is for the blogs that caught my attention and kept it ever since.

No, this is not something you can give to other blogs. Make your own award. I don't want this to be a spam/meme/passitonordie type of award.

I AM THE ONLY ONE GIVING THIS OUT. I'm sure you have plenty of other awards in your Blog Trophy Chest to give out, so leave this one alone unless you receive it.

I'll try to do it every week, or whenever I remember.

I originally started reading She Lives. It took me a while to realize that Carol is one funny woman! Most of her posts literally make me laugh out loud. Her blogs are a daily "Must Read"!

ecause I've gotten 3 in the past couple of weeks, LOL.

I got 2 Kick Ass Blogger Awards. One from My Frakkin Blog! and then from Shae Shae.

Then I got the Proximidade Award from Carol.

And I just noticed today that I got an "I love your blog" award from Web-Betty.

What have I been saying this month? LOL.

Seriously.

I would have finally passed these awards on today but for some reason, my lower back feels like I got stabbed with one of those 2 pronged forks that you use when you're grilling.

So I'm going to lie down (Do objects lie or lay?) and take some drugs until I feel better.

Plus it will give me something to blog about tomorrow. :-)

I was very surprised! I visit Bob's blog almost every day, but I'm not sure that I've commented there before, so this was out of the blue for me. Needless to say, I'm very flattered. :-)

So here are my 5 Kick Ass Bloggers (I read multiple blogs every day, but some of them update more often than others, so I'm going to choose the people who update the most). They are in no particular order.

1. Why Are You Stalking Me? - She is a hilarious and sarcastic blogger and I love hearing about her latest embarrassing moments!

2. Cardiogirl - I think hers is one of the blogs on which I comment the most. She seems like she'd be a really cool person to know IRL. :-)

3. Blogging Monique Renae - She's an awesome woman and she's very honest about all the things she's gone through/dealt with & is still dealing with. She & I are going on a Wal-Mart shopping spree when she goes on her "Tour of America" :-)

4. Jokes @ jDonuts - There is ALWAYS some joke or picture there to make me laugh. He has other blogs too, which I also visit, and he has a lot of good & helpful posts for bloggers.

5. Samples Girl - Who doesn't love getting free stuff? She goes out and hunts for all the freebies online so that I don't have to. Thanks to her, I think I have enough shampoo & tampon samples to last me until 2012. :-)

Blog Award & Random Stuff

There's a lot that has happened related to my blog the past few days. With my back hurting & all, I haven't really kept up with it.

So, here's what I think happened, LOL.

1. Randi gave me an award.



Wheeeeeeee! Someone who doesn't call me "Too Outspoken", LOL.

Another person gave me the Blogger's Excellence Award (or something), but I can't remember who. (Sorry)

2. I won the first round of the Blogger's Cup at the Get Traffic Blog. So thank you to anyone who voted for me. :-)

3. Bebo Author was my BEST Entrecard Advertiser ever. I got 103 clicks from her blog to mine in ONE DAY! That was awesome. :-)

4. I think it was Claire who gave me 500 Entrecard credits too? I don't know. And I can't find the e-mail that told me about it (and apparently Entrecard doesn't keep up with that kind of stuff...)

5. Getting Gruntled wrote me a really nice recommendation out of the blue:

There's a certain type of insight that only shows up when you get that second-wind during an all-nighter. Angelika has these all the time. Must be the insomnia. That and the appreciation of her son, and for good actors, to boot!

6. Crafter BS also wrote me a recommendation. I have to admit, I don't remember seeing her blog before. (So soddy)

Really cool blog. I'm an insomniac myself. And that Hugh is just tooooo darn cute, and I'm so glad to see his face on your blog!

With posts like this one, though, I will be stopping back often, LOL.

I don't remember what else.

Did I tell you that the Dr. recommended I take the xanax twice a day?

I'm pretty sure that's why my back hurts so bad. Going from 2 hours of sleep a day to 16 (or something) is just too much. So for the past 3 days I only take it at night.

Which is why I haven't been keeping up with my TV show synopses.

I don't even remember what the hell came on in the past 4 or 5 days, LOL.
