o, I got my computer back last week. I don't remember the exact day. Ironically I was at the library using the computer the first time Fed-Ex tried to drop it off. So I kept my ass at home the next day, LOL. It took about 10 days total for them to get my pc, fix it & send it back to me.

So anyway, here's the report I got back:


I don't know WTF any of that means, all I know is that my computer doesn't flash the BSOD (blue screen of death) every 5 minutes. :-)

Anyway, I've been watching some new shows.

I had planned on posting about all of that, but my back has been killing me today. I'm wearing a Thermacare heat wrap AND I took some PMS medication (that works better for me than Tylenol or any other OTC pain med), so I don't think it's a good idea to sit here for hours posting.

I'll just name the show & let you know if I think you should watch it.

Let's Talk about Pep (VH1)- They say it's Sex & the City for black people? I never watched SATC, so I don't know. But I think it's funny.
Men of a Certain Age (TNT)- Watch it. I love it.
Human Target (FOX)- Awesome. Watch it.
Frank the Entertainer (VH1)- I think I watched 2 episodes & realized I don't give a shit what that guy does. I mean, I only watched it because a) He sucked New York's toes & I wanted to know if he's always that freaky and 2) I really wanted to see how a dating show in some guy's parent's basement was going to work out. I just can't stand the voices of one of those bitches. And they ALL have huge noses. Those girls aren't cute. Frank isn't bad looking. But then...he fell in "love" with New York, so he clearly has no taste.
Better off Ted (ABC)- Old show, but I still love it.
NCIS Los Angeles (CBS)- Love it. Watch it.
The Middle (ABC)- Hilarious! Definitely check it out. Modern Family & Cougar Town aren't bad either. But I only watch them because they don't compete with anything else on my DVR schedule.

Why I love the post office (sarcasm)

o, I told you I was waiting for HP to send me a box so I can ship my PC tower to them, right?

Well, the wonderful Postladyperson just left it outside my door.
The library only lets me use the pc for 30 minutes at a time.

There was no school yesterday because of the ice. So it could have been out there since Monday.

I hate it when they do that shit.

They do it all the geedee time. Leave packages between my screen door and the front door. They don't knock or anything.

If Evan doesn't go to school, I don't know anything about it because I don't use the frigging front door because the stairs out there don't have a railing and the last thing I need is to break a hip on the effing concrete out there.

Anyway.

I'm upset.

Because, even though this pc crashes unpredictably (pause to save my progress so far), at least I can use it. Kind of.

I don't like not having a computer, LOL.

But at least I'll be able to read Under the Dome. I bought it as a Christmas present to myself. 12/24 is about when the computer shit started happening and I haven't gotten more than 50 pages into it.

I remember the days when I would read a Stephen King book in 1 day. Harry Potter took a day & a half.

I should be ashamed.

Whatever.

Hewlett Packard better not keep my baby for long or I might have a breakdown.

Well, the other day I was at my other home (Wal-Mart) and noticed that the display computer had the monitor tilted back.

So I tilted my monitor back and the colors have come alive!

Who knew?

I've spent the last...19 hours uploading music to iTunes. And of course, most of the CDs I have are old, so none of the info is online. I have to type in the title of every song.

It wasn't until I got up and my special leg wanted to freak out and my butt cheek started cramping that I thought "Maybe I shouldn't sit there so long".

So I took a xanax and went to sleep.

For about 3 hours!?!?!?

*sigh*

Anyway, I have all my Prince, George Michael, Billy Joel & Ray Charles uploaded. Now I have to upload the CDs I made for myself. That will take much longer because I have to listen to the freaking song to know what it is.

On the plus side, I AM impressed with the speed of this new computer.

My old computer was about 7 years old. And I had A LOT of shit on there that slowed it down. It used to take about 10 minutes to start up, so we left it on most of the time.

This loads in 2 minutes or something.

I just have to find the CD that came with the scanner so that I can hook that up. Of course it isn't with ALL THE OTHER INSTALLATION CDs I HAD IN THE DRAWER.

Grrrrrr.

I'm going to drug myself again.

New Computer

am enjoying some things about this new computer.

Some things tick me off.

I don't like the keyboard. Keys like "End" "delete"
are in totally different places. Now I actually have to LOOK at the freaking keyboard to type.

And even though I have this ginormous new monitor, the colors are all off. It looks faded.

Not to mention that this is 1600 x 900 when my old one was 1264 x 768 (or something) so my blog looks WRONG.

And I had so many plugins on Paintshop Pro, I can't remember them all.

AND I have to re-upload ALL of my songs to iTunes.

It will be weeks (or months) before I feel like this thing is mine.

:-(

MD did enjoy being able to watch Al Green in widescreen, which is practically lifesize. I told her that I'd better not find lip prints on my monitor, LOL.

Did I mention that I hate Windows Vista?

t was only $25!!!!!!!

I thought it might suck, but the pictures look pretty good on my screen. Too good, actually. It picks up every single imperfection on the photos.

I think that was his first night in his new Big Boy Bed. Since then, he's gotten hold of the picture and done God knows what to it. But that face. So cute!

Last one for today because my back is killing me. Not the usual back pain. This is pain from Evan tickling me to distraction yesterday. Odd, right? Whatever.



That was taken at the annual Trail of Tears Ride in 2000. The dude in the middle is Branscombe Richmond. He played The Rock's brother in "The Scorpion King".

Evan has actually met him twice, but the other picture is in a frame and I'm not taking it out just to scan it.

The other little boy is Evan's favorite cousin. He will NEVER smile in a picture unless I threaten to sing or something...*sigh*
