Daily Three

Here

1. What is the worst natural disaster to affect the city in which you live? Were you living there when it happened?
We have flooding almost every year. Not this year, though. Drought. The was one time that something blew up downtown, but I don't think it caused any major problems. I just remember sitting in the house and it really sounded like a bomb went off. Nothing ever happens here. Except meth lab explosions, LOL.

2. Do you know if there are sex offenders living in your neighborhood? Are you concerned about it?
There are sex offenders living in town. We had one in the apartment complex once and everyone was so mean to him (for lack of a better term) he left. But 2 or 3 live within 2 miles of here.

The thing about registered sex offenders is that you don't know if they molested a child or had sex with a 15 year old.

I can't bring myself to get outraged over some adult "taking advantage" of what is freely offered to every Dick in town. I don't care if she's still, technically, a child.

It's not the same as rape.

I know all the studies that show that the brain doesn't stop growing until you're in your 20s. I know that children need guidance. I know that a grown ass adult shouldn't "take advantage" of an underdeveloped brain.

But these "children" are not mentally challenged in the true sense of the word.

I think it's sad that an adult is even attracted to a child. I don't understand it. But it doesn't disgust/outrage me like the rape of a 6 month old.

3. If you were elected to your city council, what would be the first item you would want to vote on (go ahead and be creative)?

That football games should be played on Saturdays. Around here, they get out of school early for some football games. The teachers don't hand out homework on Thursdays or Fridays because they don't want to stress the football team out.

The major thing I don't like about living here is that people believe in "God,Football,Family,Football,Country & Football".

If a boy doesn't play football, there's something wrong with him. If a girl doesn't want to be a cheerleader, there's something wrong with her.

Maybe 1% of these kids will actually go on to make a career out of football or cheerleading. Most of the girls go to nursing school (If they haven't already had a baby & gotten married before graduation, that is). Most of the boys end up working in a factory.

Because they didn't pay attention to their education.

Because their parents are fucking idiots who didn't stress EDUCATION.

I think I'd be impeached immediately, LOL.

Daily 3 - 12/5/07

Daily 3

1. When were you first introduced to the concept of blogging? No idea. I used to have a website. I stopped updating it in 2006, so I guess that's when I finally got tired of formatting every frigging page on the website and gave in to the whole blogging phenomenon.

2. For what purpose do you use your blog, and how often do you use it? Personal Diary

3. Do you think blogging is here to stay? How long do you think you will continue to blog?
Yes. Until I can't afford to buy a new computer, LOL.

Daily Three

1. What temperature do you consider to be "cold" or when you would need to wear warm clothes? Anything under 60 is when I start wearing a jacket.

2. What is a typical Winter like in your area? What are the average temps this time of year? I don't know what the average temps are, but it's never cold enough for me! I should move to Canada... We rarely get snow here in the "dirty dirty". If we do, it melts fast. School is canceled for the threat of snow. I hate the south for that reason, LOL.

3. If you live in a cooler climate, what is it that you enjoy most about it? Why do you choose to remain living there? If you live in a warmer climate, have you ever visited places that were seasonably cold? What did you like or dislike about it?
I used to live in MD. School was never canceled for snow! I hated it then, but now I would appreciate it, LOL. I don't move because I am disabled and all my family is here. I don't worry about The Boy being kidnapped and sold into slavery for some weird sex slave trade thing. I only worry about him impregnating some white chick whose father is in the KKK. ;-)

Wednesday Memeage

Daily 3

Well it's almost 3:30 pm and there are no new questions, so I'm going to use a previous entry.

1. Name three occupations you would never consider. What factors contribute to this opinion? Sanitation Engineer, Oncologist, and teacher. The funk, the crying, the noise.

2. What are three ideal occupations? What factors contribute to this opinion? Writer, Reader & Website Designer. I like to write, I like to read & I like creating crap, LOL.

3. Name three great jobs you've held and three of the worst (if you haven't had six or more jobs in your lifetime, just give us one of each.) What factors made them good or bad? Cashier at Hardees & Executive Assistant. I hated Hardees because people....I don't like people. I LOVED being an Executive Assistant because my boss was AWESOME and I got a lot of free crap. :-)

It is Wednesday, right? No Loaded Questions either. *Sigh*

1. Which is nobler: personal accountability or self-sacrifice?
Personal accountability. Most people don't sacrifice without expecting other people to notice how much they're giving up. That is not noble or admirable at all! You have to really be humble to say "I was wrong."

2. Do you believe in individual freedom? What does it mean to you? Yes. Individual freedom means doing what I feel is best for me as long as I'm not intentionally harming anybody else.

For example: I don't think it should be a law that we have to wear seat belts. We all know what happens to people who get into wrecks when they weren't wearing their seat belts. If an adult wants to treat their own life so casually, I don't think it's the government's business to tell them that they HAVE to wear a seat belt.

I DO think it should be a law to have children in car seats. They are not old enough to make that decision for themselves.

I agree with speed limits because driving 80 mph isn't just stupid, you're putting everyone else on the road in danger. You don't and shouldn't have that right.

3. Name one cause you believe in very strongly. How do you show your support? I have no idea, LOL.
