Start saying goodbye to House, MD

Feeling Irritated

F

irst, read this article I wrote in February of last year.

Did you read it?

Ok, so now House is off of Vicodin. I watched for a while to see when he was going to get back on it.

Several times this year I have forgotten that House even recorded & it wasn't until other people were talking about it that I realized I hadn't watched the latest new episode.

Do they not realize that people really don't like change?
Now House and Cuddy are going to be together?

It's over, man. I can hear the "24" beeping clock right now.

Fucking writers.

*sigh*

House & StacyMaybe they're sick of it? LOL. I mean, I'm sure it's nice to have a steady job, so WHY THE HELL would they hook House up with anyone? Do they not realize that people really don't like change?

Shows fail because the writers or producers decide to start changing the things that made the show successful in the first place, or the flipping networks keep moving shows around and people have to decide what they want to watch more.

I hope this Huddy thing only lasts a few episodes next season, like the relationship with Stacy in the 2nd season. Seriously.

I already lost Ugly Betty, 24 and Lost. I don 't want to lose another favorite show.

Bastards!

Jesse WilliamsOn the plus side, Grey's Anatomy season finale was AWESOME! I was on the edge of my seat like I was watching a suspense movie! Loved it. If you haven't watched it yet, watch it online! I'm glad they got ride of some of those merger suckers and I'm glad they kept my McDreamy, "My Green Eyes". :-)

HOUSE, MD

Feeling Happy

Y

eah, I'm a day or 2 late telling you about the season premiere of House.

House Season 6 PromoIt's not my JOB.

You should be watching it for yourself anyway! :-)

Ennywho, it was soooooo good. 2 hours of Hughlicious fun. If you haven't seen it yet, I don't want to ruin it for you. If you don't watch it (GASP! WTF is wrong with you???) then you won't care.

But:

Some of the promos for this season were not scenes from the actual episodes. Like the one where a bunch of dudes are carrying him across the lawn & he's screaming/struggling. Didn't happen.

House had sex in the Looney Bin!That one where the blonde doctor says "You're gonna be fun." and he looks at her like "You have no idea..." didn't happen either.

He did figure out all of the patient's "issues" and use them against the patients and the doctors.

He found someone smarter/more devious than he is!!!!!!!!!!!

He fell in lust.

Had sex in the hospital.

Almost cried. His eyes actually did tear up.

Rapped at a talent show.

I'm not even joking.

So as of now, he's off the vicodin and not hallucinating anymore. I can't WAIT to see next week's episode.

Eddie CibrianAnother good season premiere was CSI Miami. They went back 12 years and we found out that Horatio is basically the one who told Eric he should become a police officer/CSI. Eric is the one who first gave him a pair of sunglasses, LOL. They also introduced Eddie Cibrian's new character. I don't remember his name. I don't care. As long as Eric (Adam Rodriguez) is still there with his sexy lips, I don't need any more eye candy. :-)

It's true, I forgot all about House on Monday

Hugh Laurie Doorway

E

arlier today (Tuesday) I got a comment from someone asking me what song was playing at the end of Monday's episode of House.

My reply was "Last night was a repeat so I didn't watch it. I don't know what episode you saw."

Then one of my JJHF Peeps told me she saw last nights episode and "someone died in their apartment. Cuthbert or something. Was it Kumar?"

My response was "I have no idea what you're talking about. Cutner (Kumar) is still alive so far. I know someone is supposed to die this season, though."

So I looked at my DVR recordings.

There was a new House that recorded last night and Evan and I BOTH forgot to watch it. Last week was a repeat and since so many other shows seem to be on Spring Break this week, I guess I just assumed that House was too.

Didn't even think about it, LOL.

But I have watched it now.

I'm happy for Kal Penn doing what he wants to do and working for Obama, but it sucks that Kutner's gone because I really liked him. I would have preferred that Taub left.

Meatloaf AdayAnyway, I really wasn't that interested in last night's show. Compared to others this season, it was just kind of "blah".

But I did learn that Meat Loaf has a last name. It's Aday. Freaky.

That is all.

I have to go watch Fringe & whatnot. :-)

Am I not a "real" House fan?

I

only wonder because when I go to other blogs like House is Right or Watching House everyone else seems much more worried about every other character on the show.

Let me make this clear:

I don't give a flying fart about Cuddy, Wilson, Cameron, Chase, or 13.

I only "like" the characters because they give House the opportunity to be funny or brilliant or an ass.

That's all.

Wilson has always gotten on my nerves because he's House's conscience. I enjoyed the private detective's character more than Wilson because he was just funny. If House happened to have one of his brilliant flashes or learn something about himself while talking to the guy, that was just a bonus. Wilson's sole purpose, IMO, is to be the audience. He's always the one to say "That's insane, you shouldn't do that." and for exposition's sake, he adds "But I know why you're doing it. It's because..."

The one who should be telling House that he's insane is his boss, Cuddy. Does she? No. Because she's a punk bitch. He does whatever he wants to do and she stands by and lets it happen.

Chase has gotten more interesting this season. He stands up to House a little more than he has in the past, but he still ends up doing what it is that House wants him to do. If I never saw him again, I wouldn't care. Not even a little bit.

Cameron is just in love with House. I don't care how many times she denies it. I don't care how many ways she tries to prove that she's in charge. She's just the girl following him around like a puppy dog and eventually doing what House wants her to do.

13 is hot. She's a little interesting because of her history & future. But I don't care if she dies. I don't care if she goes blind. I don't care if she marries Foreman or breaks his heart or goes on a killing spree in Princeton, New Jersey. She's just there.

The show needs people who try to give House a hard time. Characters that try to make him realize that he's a jerk and he doesn't need to be.

I suppose it helps that the characters have history with him, because he's more likely to think about what they say to him. But I don't care about them individually, feel me?

Someone is "upset" because Jesse Spencer's character (Chase) won't be in the 100th episode.

So what!?!?

People were upset when House's original team left and he got the new 'kids'.

Whatever.

I started watching the show because this doctor was funny and "almost always eventually right" (be the first person to tell me what episode that quote is from and I'll give you 500 EC credits.)

The other characters on the show have always been glorified extras to me. I don't care about their lives. I don't need their history.

I don't even care about House's history. I just want to know what he's going to do next.

Mark my words, people. The second that House gets into a romantic relationship with one of his sycophants (Wilson, Cuddy, or Cameron) and attempts to be happy, or stops using Vicodin, or tries to be 'a better man', the show will stop being interesting to me and everyone else.

Monica & Chandler got together, Friends was over.
Dewayne Wayne got Whitley & they weren't funny anymore.
Max & Kyle got together instead of arguing constantly and Living Single went in the toilet.
Lois & Clark got married and the public got bored.

You may think you want House to be happy, but you really don't. Not if you want the show to continue...

Random thoughts - 9/24/08

S

tuff has been running through my mind, but none of it is interesting enough for an entire blog post.

So here's what I've been thinking about lately:

1. Does anyone take Ben Affleck seriously as an actor? I was watching some Harrison Ford/Tom Clancy movies and they asked who made the best Jack Ryan. Affleck, Ford or Alec Baldwin. I have The Hunt for Red October & one or two of the ones starring Harrison Ford as Jack Ryan, but I still can't remember which one Ben Affleck did and I don't care enough to look it up. The only movies I remember with Affleck were Good Will Hunting and Gigli... What else has he done?

2. Have you noticed that when critics love a show, it gets canceled? "Fringe is being hailed as this season's best new drama series." So I'm kind of expecting it to get canceled after one season, LOL.

3. I just started watching Lost on G4. I love it! But I couldn't watch it before because it conflicted with other shows I watched. At least now I don't have to wait a week to see the next new episode. I get it every day. :-) Don't tell me what happens.

4. Fucking cable company is changing the channel lineup AGAIN. I have most of those crap channels blocked from my DVR. I do not watch shopping channels, weather channel, soap network or Christian networks. Does this mean I'll have to a) go back and add all those freaking channels back? (probably) and 2) change my series recordings to match the new channels or will the DVR be smart enough to figure this out on it's own? I have about 150 series scheduled (You know, for the fall, mid-season, summer schedules). Thankfully, the big 5 networks won't be changing, but I'll have to reprogram all the Bravo crap and Travel Channel crap. And some of that stuff isn't on the schedule right now. And I will forget about the show. I don't even know what day anything I watch NOW comes on (Except House) until I see it on "My Recordings".

5. I'm looking forward to "Chocolate News" with David Alan Grier (or whatever) and Real Housewives of Atlanta. Damnitalltohades! I just remembered that I'll have to change any comedy central & cartoon network (Boondocks, Squidbillies, Aqua Teen, Lucy - Daughter of the Devil) shows I tape too! *cries*

6. I like Tabatha's Salon Takeover. It's like Kitchen Nightmares for salons! I hated Tabatha when she was on that Bravo show with one of Charlie's Angels. (I know her name, I just don't feel like typing it. Bite me. I don't, however, remember the name of the show.)

7. I loved CSI: Miami last night. Horatio kicks anus!

8. And I loved tonight's House episode. I like the private detective guy. I guess he's House's sounding board until Wilson's bitch ass comes back. But anyway, tonight's (Oh, I'm writing this yesterday at midnight thirty) episode made me LOL several times. And Hugh looks good with the shorter hair. Is it just me, or are they showing more of his bald spot this season? Me likey. Plus after all of those "You're losing your hair" jokes/comments from Wilson, and the fact that everyone knows that Hugh has a rather substantial bald spot, it's kind of stupid to keep trying to make him look younger. He's sexy just the way he is. :-)

9. I'm halfway through the premier of Heroes. I'm recording it on G4 because NBC conflicts with other crap I'm taping. Don't ask me what. But anyway, I had totally forgotten that Nathan Petrelli got shot. When I read the info and it said "We find out who the shooter was" I was thinking "Who got shot?" HA! WTF is wrong with the Indian doctor? He wants everybody to have superpowers? Seriously?

10. I love the G4 Network. Ninja Warrior, Unbeatable Banzuke, Hurl.

11. Last year I finally stopped watching Prison Break (or maybe before? I don't remember how long it's been on) because I lost interest after they broke out of the first prison. I still recorded it for Evan, though, because I thought he liked it. Turns out he only liked it because it he thought I liked it and it was something we could watch together. Awwwwwwwwww. How sweet is that? We still watch House together, but I'm hoping we will find another series that we both like. He liked "The Mentalist" tonight. So maybe that will be "our show" from now on?

This post is probably long enough.

And I have to tinkle.

I'm out.

4th of July Part 1

T

his year we went to MD's house to grill for the 4th.

Thursday, MD told me that she was going to grill today @ about 11:30 am. I went to the store & got some hamburger meat & some boneless short ribs to marinate (green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, and garlic. I don't measure, I just add the stuff until all the meat is well covered after I suck all of the air out of a Ziploc bag) for the grill.

Earlier that day, we had gone to a local restaurant (where my niece works) for dinner. She was working, but she didn't see us. In Wal-mart, we (Evan & I - people, that's the only "we" in my life right now. I get tired of saying it, LOL.) happened to she her, her BF and his daughter. It was 10 PM.

I had thought that everyone would have gone to get all their 4th of July BBQ crap earlier in the day, so I waited until 10 to go ON PURPOSE so I wouldn't have to deal with the crowd.

HA!

Everyone and their mother was there.

Anyway, back to my niece:

ME - I came to your place of work today and you didn't even come speak to me.
Niece - I didn't see you!
Me - No. You ignored me. That's fine. Even though it hurt your Nana's feelings.
Niece - Seriously. I had no idea you were there.
Me - Whatever.
Niece - Next time you come, ask them to be seated in my section.
Me - She's not going back there! Her scrambled eggs had white in them. The grits were gross. The pork chop had freezer burn. She had nothing but complaints & said she won't go back this year.
Niece - If you had told me you were there, I would have made sure that your order was right.
Me - Maybe next year. BYE!

In reality, I know she didn't see us. Everyone was there. I hate holiday weekends. But I cannot see her without giving her a hard time.

We continued to run into her & her BF throughout our trip.

Niece - *looking into my cart* What is this!
*pointing to the Pomegranate Smirnoff Ice* (They suck, BTW. I knew I should have gotten green apple!)
Me - I am an ADULT! I can drink if I want to.
Evan - She's an alcoholic.
Me - Yes. I'm going to go home and drink them all tonight.
Niece - Really!?!?
Me - *Evil 'Are you retarded??' look*
Niece - Well, I don't know. Maybe you really are an alcoholic.
Me - First she ignores me, now she accuses me of being an alcoholic. I'm leaving! *zooming away in my electric cart*

Later:

Niece - *whispering to Evan* You should run her over with your basket.
Me - I heard that.
Niece - What? I didn't say anything.
Me - You whisper like Omah (who is 75% deaf so whispers louder than she thinks. Very funny in church. Especially when she cusses.) Don't ever try to be a spy!

Sometimes when my back hurts, it feels good if Evan sits on me, but he's getting so big that it hurts more than it helps. So I tell him to punch me in the back. Exactly where it hurts.

Me - *post punch that was off target* OH! There's a pain in my back *gasp* and I can't brief. (Homage to George Lopez's "Why you crying".)
Evan - *cracking up* Sorry, do you want me to do it again?
Me - Not now. Wait 'til I can brief again.

Anyway, we got out of there after MIDNIGHT because even with 3 lines open, it took 20 minutes to check out. I had enough time to go back to the grocery section and get buns, then all the way to the pharmacy to get a massaging pillow for my back (Evan's suggestion.) I wanted to get to sleep to be on time for the BBQ.

Of course, I didn't get to sleep until way after the sun rose (about 6 am). This is in spite of the sleeping pill, the Xanax & the Smirnoff Ice that I drank.

Do NOT comment how I shouldn't mix alcohol and drugs. I know what can happen! I too heard about Heath Ledger. Bite me. Get insomnia for a couple of years and see if you don't do stupid shit just to get some effing sleep!

I'll tell the rest of this some other time. I want to lay down on my massaging pillow.

Thursday Thirteen - 5/22/08

F

or this Thursday 13, I thought I'd give you 13 of my favorite "Houseisms". :-)

  1. I had a heart attack this morning. I can't do any more drugs 'til at least lunch.

  2. A blowup doll would be more useful; and yes, that's the first time I've implied something negative about a blowup doll.

  3. You gonna trust me? I lie about everything.

  4. If I were kidding, I’d dress like you.

  5. Someone’s gonna be miserable sometime. Accept it. That’s how I stay so happy.

  6. People don’t learn; people don’t change. But you did. You’re a freak.

  7. Thing is, hope’s for sissies.

  8. You wanna know every place your mom’s thumb has been?

  9. Lies are like children: they’re hard work, but it’s worth it because the future depends on them.

  10. My eyes look better in rooms with summer colors.

  11. Does my breath smell bated to you?

  12. Oh God, I’m tired of hearing that argument. I don’t have to go to Detroit to know it smells.

  13. I’m a jerk to everyone. Best way to protect yourself from lawsuits.

House Season Finale

W

e just finished watching it. I liked it.

You shouldn't read this if you haven't watched it yet.

I do not care that Cutthroat Bitch (Amber) is dead. In fact, it would not disappoint me at all if Wilson got so mad at House (blaming him for something that isn't/wasn't his fault) that he quit PPH and went somewhere else.

I still haven't forgiven him for lying to House in Season 3, LOL.

Honestly, I don't need Cameron or Chase either. I like the adversarial relationship between House & Foreman. I enjoy the interplay between House & Cuddy. The new team (Kutner, 13 & the other guy) don't get on my nerves (yet).

I'm excited to see what happens next season.

I will also enjoy seeing new interviews with Hugh on Craig Ferguson & Ellen when it's time for Season 5 to begin. :-)

I'm an idiot.

Not really. But sometimes I do idiotic things.

Like turn on a light in my car last night to see something & then forget to turn it off so when I leave the house today to go to the bank my car won't start.

Luckily, there are some good people living here so I got a jump ASAP & was able to get to the bank before it closed.

ANYWAY.

Link Love

Last night when I went to bed, my Technorati Rating was 69. (I took a picture of it, because I'm goofy like that, LOL.) I assumed it would go back down because every day that I pay attention to it, it seems to drop. (I think that people add me based on one post & then read some more & change their minds...) Anyway, when I looked this morning, it was 81.

Right this second, it is showing 70. But when I started this post, it was 89.

See? Crazy...

That whole Viral Link Love is THE SHIT!

I know that there are people who think that Technorati Ranking means nothing. Those people can kiss my entire dimpled ass. The fact that my ranking goes up means that more people are seeing this blog & adding links to it. I love that!

Entrecard has brought me a lot of traffic. And a lot of comments. I love it. (I've found a lot of blogs I like through Entrecard too.)

Now with the Big Bang Link Love thing, it just keeps getting better. Wheeeeeee!

Eli Stone

I recorded this a couple of days ago. I didn't even know what it was about. I just knew that nothing else was on, so I might as well start watching a series from the beginning so that I wouldn't have to play catch up if I found out later that I liked it. (Like I never started watching Lost, so I don't think I'll start until it's in syndication, it's too late now. Not that it would really be something I'll like anyway...)

I LOVED THIS SHOW! Not just because they had George Michael on the first episode, either, LOL.

It kind of reminds me of Ally McBeal what with his hallucinations & whatnot. I literally laughed out loud when he was dancing to George Michael & then the hallucination ended and he realized that he was at work & everyone was looking at him like he was crazy.

I love his secretary. (I think it's Loretta Devine? I just know she's the Chief's wife on Gray's Anatomy & the big booty chick from "Waiting to Exhale".)

I like his acupuncturist. (Watch the show.)

I'm not going to go into detail about the show because I actually have some other real life crap to do.

Just go watch it online.

House, MD

Yessss. I was watching "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" (Did a search for Stephen Fry on the DVR. He's the narrator.) when I realized that House was supposed to be on.

I caught the last 15 minutes of the Post Game Show. Then I was able to start House exactly when it started & stop recording right after the previews for the last new episode.

Yay!

I liked this episode. It was the best one this season.

Not going to go into that either. But I really liked Mira Sorvino's character. Maybe they'll bring her back?

One thing - Cutthroat Bitch? Really? Mmmmmmk... I just wonder if, after the strike is resolved, they're going to add a few more episodes to this season or pick up from this point next season.

WHYYYYYYYYY?

You know I love House, MD.

You know I love my DVR.

Fucking Fox has decided to air a new episode of House immediately after the superbowl.

??????????

The people playing the fucking Super Bowl don't even know what time it will be over.

I looked on the schedule. So far, the episode that's playing on Sunday isn't scheduled to be repeated on USA.

Which means instead of doing whatever the hell I want to do on Sunday, I'll have to keep clicking back to Fucking Fox to see if the goddamned super bowl is over and if House is airing.

WHY are they showing a NEW episode of House on Sunday?

Why don't they just air it on Tuesday & then they can air the last new episode the week after the super bowl.

God. I hate the networks. I hate the writer's strike (I'm already having to put up with an abbreviated season...). I hate the super bowl.

Cocksuckingsonsofbitches.

On a more positive note, my favorite part of last night's new episode of House was when House & Wilson were walking down the hall.

House - Where are we going?
Wilson - Nowhere. I just know it hurts you.

HA!!!!!!

I don't like Wilson, but sometimes he makes me laugh out loud. :-)

TV Shows

Watched Nip/Tuck's season premier last night. I don't really have anything to say about it, LOL. But then there wasn't any gross surgery. Jennifer Coolidge was funny. She always is, though.

House was good (dur). I loved it when House & Cuddy went into the room with the patient who had Mirror Syndrome. Apparently, when a patient has that, he imitates the "Alpha" in the room. So House is the Alpha. We already knew that. But now everybody else knows it too, LOL.

The Unit had that girl Mikayla (or whatever) from American Idol on as a "diva". At one point when she's supposedly singing live, the song said one thing & her mouth started to say another. Maybe her mouth actually completed the wrong word. I just can't believe they left that in there. Really bad editing. I never did like that girl. I wonder if it was type casting? And I hate that she stole that dude's poem and made it into a song and he got NO CREDIT. He can't sue. That sucks so bad. And it looks like he's going to die next week. :-(

I've continued to watch Salt N Pepa. They are SO opposite I can't believe they were ever friends. I'm sure that Cheryl (Salt) had changed a lot, but damn. It's also interesting that she says that Pep never listens but she's the one who talks so damned fast that Pep can't get a word in edgewise. Pep has always reminded me of my SIL. They have a lot of similarities. And I'm sure she'd be thrilled to know I think that, LOL. WTFever.

Have you noticed how many people get into the music business and then after a while they get really religious? I suppose that's better than Rehab. Prince & Vanity spring to mind immediately. I think she became a preacher or something. Crazy!

That's it, I'm thoo.

Tuesday's TV Premiers

House MD

The long awaited and highly anticipated (for me, at least) premier of season 4 of House MD was last night.

I thought it was funny. Especially when Wilson kidnapped House's guitar. It was also kind of sad for House to be going all over the hospital trying to do the differential diagnosis with anyone and everyone. (Dr. Buffer the janitor???)

One of the funniest lines, IMO, was when House told a doctor that her eyes were not symmetrical and then said "And by eyes, I mean breasts."

I read in TV Guide that one of the applicants for the job will be a black Mormon. I can't wait for that! And Kumar (or Harold, I can't remember) is also going to be one of the applicants.

The Unit

The Unit also had it's season premier. I am NOT HAPPY that they changed the theme song. I want the old marching song "Fired up, Fired up, 27, Fired up!" Why would they change that? I listened to that theme song every week. Just like I listen to House MD's theme song, even when I'm watching it on DVD.

Jonas (Dennis Haysbert) looks good with a shaved head. Really good. Yummy good.

Anyway, it's hard to "review" the show without going into all the characters & what happened last season. The premier was good. I liked the way Molly passed messages to Hector. I do not like not knowing if Bob Brown is really on The Unit's side or if he's loyal to the CIA.

WTF happened with Mack? I don't like the way it seems like all these Unit members are giving up. Of course, we will find out more as the season goes on. And that's why I can't wait for next Tuesday.

If you aren't already watching "The Unit", you need to.

Cane

The series premier of Jimmy Smit's new show was last night. It looks like it's going to be a Sopranosesque show. Only with Cubans instead of Italians. (Who knew the sugar cane business was so dangerous?)

I'll give it a couple more weeks. New show, a lot of new characters to learn. It will take some time.

The show was good. I'll enjoy watching Nestor Carbonell, even if his character is an ass who is ruled by his libido.

That's all for me. What did you watch last night?

Fucking Funny Extra!

On Season 2's DVDs, they did 2 Valley Girl takes from 2 different stories. They were fun. This is the Angry Valley Girl take from Season 3. I wish they'd have done more, LOL.

My favorite part is when Cameron is backing out of the office staring at Cuddy. :-)

Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows

I will be buying it tonight.

I will leave here at 11:15 pm.

It will take about 5 minutes to walk to the car, 13 minutes to drive to Wal-mart, 5 minutes to walk into the store and another 3-5 minutes to get an electric cart to do my shopping.

I will shop until midnight.

Then I will drive/ride to the book department to see that they don't have the book on the shelves yet even though they're advertising that it will be on sale at 12:01.

Then I will find an employee, ask them why the book is not on the shelves, and have them open a box and personally hand me the book, then go check out.

I will go through the same routine on August 20th because House Season 3 comes out on DVD on the 21st.

I can't wait.

I saved a few episodes of House Season 3 on the DVR. I watched "Resignation" again the other day. I'm so used to deleting crap right after I watched it that I deleted it before I realized what I was doing. :-( Doesn't matter that there's only a month before I can have that episode on DVD in my house and watch it whenever I want.

I want to watch it again. Now.

*sigh*
