I look 25?

Feeling Amused

Saturday I had gone to Wal-mart & then stopped by my mother's house. I was wearing a wig because I chopped all my hair off & sometimes I don't feel like wearing a bandanna.

Wigh with bangsSo I come home & park my car & my neighbor says "I like your hair! With those bangs you look like you're 25."

I said thanks, but launched into my whole "It's a wig" speech.

Why do I do that?

I think part of it is just because I don't want to be ANYTHING like Mommy Dearest so I see no reason to hide the fact that I'm wearing a wig.

Another part is verbal diarrhea.

That is all. :-)

I've never understood the whole "age" thing.

Feeling Curious

W

hen I was younger, I always thought "I can't wait until I'm 30. No one takes you seriously until you're at least 30."

Seriously.

You can't even run for president until you're 35.

Why is that? Because people think that you haven't lived enough to get any valuable life experience until you're at least 35.

I just got an EC advertisement from a woman who just turned 30. She's having problems with that. Having to check a new box in the age column on forms.

My mother still claims she's 39. Her oldest child is 46... I'll be 37 this year.
Something is wrong with her math. Granted, she looks 45, but still. I'd be taking full advantage of senior discounts at restaurants & stuff if I were "39".

When I was 13, my crushes were always on men in their 30s. I still liked men in their thirties until I was about 25, and then 30 was too young for me.

I like age. With age comes experience, right?

That's why I could never be a cougar. I didn't have anything in common with 20 year olds when I was 20 years old. Why the phuck would I want to date one?

"Do you remember what a fucking idiot you were when you were in your 20s???"My brother is 42. With the exception of the time he looked like my father when he was grilling (shorts, sport shirt, sandals...he was only missing the black dress socks) he's still awesome. He doesn't seem to have a problem with his age. He still plays video games. He still listens to his music so loud that you can hear him coming from 5 miles away. He's me with a nutsack.

:-)

I'm not saying that I could be with someone old enough to be my grandfather, I just think that older people have figured out who they are and are ok with it.

For the most part.

Women are a different story.

Women still feel like they have to be liked by everyone.
Women still don't recognize that age & experience AND WRINKLES AND GRAY HAIR are badges of honor.

Paula DeenI wish I had Paula Deen's gray hair. I just have 17 wiry gray hairs that refuse to be tamed. I still don't pull them. I just put extra hair gel on those bitches to make them stay down. :-)

I never thought I'd live to see a black president. Now I have.

Now I want to live to see the day when women realize how awesome we are because of all the things that make us different from men and that getting older is something to be proud of.

Tell your age. This "I'll never tell" 50s mentality that asking a woman her age is rude is outdated. My grandmother is proud of every single one of her 90 years.

Realize that aging is something that not everyone has the opportunity to do. If you've lived long enough to be 30+ with all of your struggles and hurdles and trials, BE HAPPY ABOUT IT.

Raising children, getting married, getting divorced, changing careers, surviving cancer, dealing with chronic disease, sobering up, getting out of debt, buying a house, buying a car, graduating from college, paying for someone else to go to college...

All this stuff teaches you things about yourself and your place in this world.

You are unique. You are special. You are fantastic. You get better every year. Stop trying to hang onto "youth".

Do you remember what a fucking idiot you were when you were in your 20s???

Thank God I'm done with that crap.

The people with whom I graduated are OLD!

Billy Ray Cyrus

I

just went to get myself some more cigars ($.90/pack vs $3.++/pack) and the dude at the register looked familiar.

Me - Are you John?
He - Yeah.
Me - I think we went to HS together.
He - Yeah. We did.
Me - Oh, okay.
He - I used to cheat off of you and Ginger in Biology
Me - I just saw Fineass and he told me & my son that I'd never let him cheat off of me. I must not have known you were cheating.
He - Oh you knew!
Me - Well, whatever.
He - It was like a team thing. We all sat at the same table. Me, you, Ginger & Someotherguy.
Me - OH YEAH!

Ginger had a crush on John. And Ginger was the first friend I made when I moved down here so I guess I didn't care if she cheated off of me and then the others cheated off of her, LOL.

I DO remember once in English class when the quiz that I filled out got passed around to the whole class because the teacher was absent. When she came back, she said "You all need to cheat better. How can everyone have gotten question #2 wrong? Not one of you had the right answer."

LMFAO!

Anyway, John looks like he's lead a hard life.

ShanaynayI know his ex wife. She is the very definition of a shrew. But black. She's Shanaynay.

He looks 50. Like Billy Cyrus but older. If he's my age, he's only 36. If he failed a few times, he shouldn't be more than 40.

I don't look that fucking old.

I feel sorry for white people.

:-)
