Wrong number...

Feeling Normal

I

was just catching up @ Cardiogirl's place when I saw a comment from JD @ I do things.

I must admit, I rarely read all the comments in the VIP lounge. I don't know why that one caught my eye. It was something like "Why do I feel the need to apolgize when someone calls me with the wrong #? I don't want to be rude to a perfect stranger."

*sigh*

This keyboard is pissing me OFF. I keep thinking I'm pressing "END" and it's backspace. Why the EFF does a keyboard need to change? I need the function keys. I need the numberpad or whatever you call it like a calculator. I like End, Delete, Home, Print Screen, and Tab. All this other crap? Couldn't care less. It's like learning to type all over again. It's so spaced out. It's giving me a headache.

I have found that it is really enjoyable to answer the phone with "Hey, bitch!"Anyway, back to the original subject that I was on before I accidentally hit "Home" instead of backspace.

It's MY phone. I pay the phone bill. I have it for MY convenience, not yours.

Do not call ME and say "Who is this?" If you don't know, you've obviously misdialed and your reaction should be "I'm sorry, I have the wrong #"

Do not call me and and expect me to help you figure out where you went wrong. I don't care. I don't even know you. I was probably watching TV or trying to nap when you interrupted me with your BS. I don't know what number you were trying to dial, I only know the number you reached.

Mine.

I have no problem hanging up on you mid-sentence.

And while we're at it, don't call me and act like you know me when you don't. I have caller ID. I know you don't know me because I don't know you.

I have found that it is really enjoyable to answer the phone with "Hey, bitch!" when it's a stranger's #. They usually hang up right away, LOL. Sometimes they stutter through an "Uh...sorry? Wrong number." before hanging up. I love it either way.

I just hope my grandmother doesn't call me from a pay phone, LOL.

  1. Answering the phone "Hey Bitch" is great. I'm gonna try it at work. It's kinda like when telemarketers call me and I say (with no accent at all) "I don't speak English."

  2. DG took the words right out of my mouth. If there was any chance that I was positive a telemarketer was calling I would answer, "Hey bitch!"

But I'd still be afraid to do it. (hangs head in embarrassment) Although if I could make it cherry, maybe the other person would think I was saying in a positive light.

Why do I worry about the other person's feelings so much?
