It's my birthday!

Feeling Normal

A

nd I actually didn't remember until Evan said "Happy Birthday."

My mom took me out for my annual Birthday Lunch. Then she wanted to go by Wal-mart for Evan to get her something. Anyway, I wanted to go by the Dollar Tree to see if they had Gummy Bears. (The Dollar Store has gummy bears that taste better than Wal-Mart's Great Value brand.

So I'm using a cane these days. Not because it actually stops me from falling, but so that people won't think I'm drunk.

So I got out of my mom's car I was going to step up onto the sidewalk when my knee locked up & BAM, I was staring @ the sky. I swear I wasn't down that long before both of the cashiers from the Dollar Tree & Evan were there asking me if I needed help getting up. (Dur)

One of the cashiers asked me if I was really OK. I said "Girl, I fall so much I've learned how to do it without injuring myself more than necessary, LOL"

So that's all, except for my 2 wigs that I got from my mom. ☺

Happy Birthday to me!

Feeling Normal

O

n my actual birthday (10/10), I slept all day. Literally. I woke up to go to the bathroom & long enough for Evan to offer to scramble some eggs for me, but I mainly slept.

This is a VAST improvement on the past few years when my knees were on fire or my back was killing me or I was throwing up or running to the terlet from the trots.

I will be happy to spend the next 5 birthdays in bed, LOL. Preferably not alone, but beggars can't be choosers.

Cracker Barrel Apple Streusel French ToastSo yesterday my mother took me for my birthday lunch at Cracker Barrel because a) She hates it and we haven't been there in years and 2) it was my "Birthday Lunch" so I got to pick the place.

I had Apple Streusel French Toast. It was sooooooooo good! I couldn't finish it all, but I wanted to. I even left some bacon on the plate *gasp*

Bottle Tops for cansThen we went to Wal-Mart & I finally gave in and got some bottle tops for cans because freaking Evan opens 97 cans of soda and leaves them all over the place to be knocked over or lose the fizz.

They work! I opened a soda last night, slept all night (can you believe I slept all night? Well, from 2 am to 7 am, but whatever.) it still had all the fizz like I'd just opened it. Nothing leaked when I drank from it. I love them! 12 to a pack.

Evan & AniyahWhen I got home I finally looked my phone & my niece was finally coming to pick up the outfits I got for Aniyah.

She wanted nothing to do with me yesterday! But she was all over Evan. I might have been more upset had I not been so freaking sleepy, LOL.

Angelika & AniyahIn actuality, she was just waking up from a nap (that's what happens when a baby goes on a longish car ride) so she'd sit with me for a minute but then go back to someone else.

Then she started drooling and since it's been 14+ years since I've had to deal with drool I was cool with her dissing me. ;-P

Anyway, my back is beginning to hurt, so I'm going back to bed even though I should be emptying my cabinet of all my old pots & pans & replacing them with the new ones Mommy Dearest gave me.

Whatever. They'll still be there when I feel like getting to it.

Ta!

Craig Ferguson & Our Wigs

Feeling Normal

S

o, yesterday Mommy Dearest took me out for my Birthday Lunch. Finally. I didn't feel good on my birthday, then I had PMS, then I had headaches from Hell, then I got a cold.

So I finally felt like "going out" yesterday. I went over to her house because she didn't know how to save a program on her DVR until she deleted it...

Because she loves her some Al Green, she wanted to save his appearances on The Tonight Show or whatever and a couple of them had been deleted even though she had plenty of room and she would have gladly sacrificed something else if she didn't have room.

Did that make sense?

Anyway, while I was there she gave me a wig. Since I've taken the braids out of my hair, she usually sees me with a bandanna on my head because I'd rather cover my hair than do it. IOW, she was saying "I'm tired of looking at those damned bandannas and now you can cover your dookie braids with this wig!" (Learn more about Dookie Braids HERE.)

Anyway

Last night's episode of "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" was on fire!
We went to the local "Dairy Bar" which is not to be mistaken for Dairy Queen. The Dairy Bar has been there since at least the 50s and is where we go for good, old fashioned Southern cooking. I had chicken fingers & fries. Sooooo good.

Blah.

Last night's episode of "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" was on fire!

Billy ConnollyFirst, in the monologue he was talking about the time he wore a kilt with no underwear to the Playboy Mansion's Halloween party one year & how the gravity was killer. :-)

Then the actor Billy Connolly was on & told how his "castle" in Scotland is supposedly haunted by a headless dog. He told a joke like "You think walking your dog in the rain is hard, wait til you see what I have to do to this one when we get home." Because the dog can't lick his own "business", you see? The conversation was edited, so I can't imagine WTF they cut out!!!

George EadsThen, George Eads (Nick Stokes on CSI) was on & told how he broke his back and didn't realize it for 12 years. Or, when he broke his back, he was a poor actor with no health insurance so he never went to the doctor about his back pain & then they took x-rays last summer and the doctor noticed the "healed" broken back, so he ended up getting spinal fusion therapy. Unbelieveable!

I think that's all. :-)

My 37th Birthday!

Feeling Sick

L

et me tell you about my birthday!

I woke up this morning to liquid diarrhea.

Then a fucking pterodactyl or some other equally large bird shat on my windshield.Liquid.

Yeah.

I had one dose of Pepto left, so I had to go to Wal-Mart to get some more.

On my way home, I started getting the headache from hell (pretty much the same one I've had for 2 weeks which Demerol isn't even helping).

Then a fucking pterodactyl or some other equally large bird shat on my windshield. Seriously, the splat was like 6 inches wide (maybe a slight exaggeration...)

Of course it had stopped raining by then, so I had to use my windshield wiper fluid to get it off, but it left that long streak of bird shit on the left...

Evan said he was going to walk to my mother's house 2 hours ago.

I called her.

He hasn't even been there.

He left his phone here...

I still don't know where he is.

All in all, it's been a wonderful birthday.

My momma took me out for my birthday lunch.

F

irst, we went to the pharmacy to get our free flu shots.

I felt a fake boob. They had something for women (Breast Cancer Awareness Month) to see if they could feel the...what do they call them? Nodules? Whatever. She said I was the fastest person to ever find one and that I was the only one to find both of them.

I wonder now if that's what fake boobs feel like...

After that, MD took me out for my birthday lunch at the Chinese Buffet. I tried Dim Sum for the first time. I should have taken pictures while I was there, but I forgot. They had the biggest goldfish I've ever seen. It was like 1/2 a pound, at least.

Anyway, the Dim Sum was like biting through plastic wrap to taste a barely sweet mushed up pinto bean.

It looked waaaaay prettier than it tasted. That picture isn't the exact one I tried, but it looks just like it.

I made MD try it. We both spit it into our napkins.

I wonder if the one I got just sucked, or if it's always like that?

I got Rick Rolled by my own iTunes...

"That's just the way it is" by Bruce Hornsby had been running through my mind all morning (no idea why) so I put on my 80s playlist. Then after "True" and "Total Eclipse of the Heart", Rick Astley started playing. :-)

I still like Rick Astley. I don't care what you say! And I miss his freakish dancing, LOL.

What I did on my birthday

M

y back was hurting, so I didn't go out for my free birthday lunch with MD. Taking me out to eat is what she does now that she no longer really cooks (except for Prince Evan). She has agreed that it's not my fault that I don't feel good on a particular day and that she will take me out on a different day when Evan is in school, which drew a very angry "Humph" from Evan. HA! She took him out for Chinese food on MY birthday, so I don't know what he's humphing about!

I owed her $20 (From when we went to Krystal because I didn't have any cash). She made it clear that she wanted her money ON FRIDAY.

So I went to the bank & got her money, then called her and told her to have Evan meet me in the driveway so I could give him her freaking money. But I also wanted to look at the Circuit City paper because usually, movies released that week are 13.99 and if you bring the ad to Wal-Mart, you can get them for that price.

Anyway, I ended up getting out of the damned car.

And staying until about 8 pm.

We sat outside. I took so many pictures of Evan on the trampoline that I filled my phone up.

We all played ball. With those big plastic balls. We were sitting and he was standing. First he was just tossing it to me, but MD got jealous so we included her in our game.

He threw the ball straight to her. But he'd always throw it to the left of me or over my head. Because he's a suck up.

Anyway, MD told me she had a present for me.

Me - But you already got me a camera phone!
MD - Well, this is stuff I'd already bought.
Me - Ok

So I got a bath set (bubble bath, shower gel, bath salts, lotion and body spray) of gardenia scented stuff. How she knew I loved gardenia, I'll never know. It smells so good. A t-shirt from Evan's school (I guess so that the next time we go out to eat, we will all match...) and 2 Bras. She buys the expensive ones, so that's cool. Now I have 3 bras to wear when I care about how my boobs look, LOL.

Then I had a turkey sandwich on wheat bread. I never eat wheat bread. But her wheat bread didn't taste like wheat (except for the crusts) so I might do something else for my health and switch to wheat... And a piece of blueberry cake. She was too lazy to put the muffin mix in the individual muffin cups, so she just put it in a 9x9 pan. Still tasted good.

Last night I slept on an ice pack since MD's jank Darvocet & the heating pad aren't working. My back feels much better.

Here are a few more of the pictures I took of Evan. The one where he's smiling is my favorite. :-)

That is all. :-)

Wheeeeeeeee! I got my camera phone!

T

oday I went to Wal-Mart with MD.

She needed a printer dock for her Kodak Easy Share camera. WHY she didn't get the whole thing (printer & camera) all at one time, I'll never know. She also had NO memory card in the camera, so she was only able to take 6 pictures.

She decided not to spend that much money today. So I just talked her into getting a 1mb memory card that she could take back to Wal-Mart and have the pictures developed.

Anyway, she said "When do you want your birthday present?"
Me - Today. Or on my actual birthday.

So I got it today!!!!!!!!!!

Here's the second picture I took today. It's of the desktop Evan picked for this week. We've decided to switch desktops every Sunday because he said having Hugh stare at him all the time freaks him out.

I didn't expect a picture of the computer screen to come out well, but I think holding the phone steady might have helped, LOL.

Anyway, now I can start taking pictures of the people I see who look like celebs or dopplegangers of people I know online and IRL!

Wheeeeeeeee!
