Handmade

Today's Photo Friday theme is: Handmade

These are a pair of pajama pants I made for Evan. I made him about 5 pair. He picked the fabrics.

I made these curtains for my bathroom. Wasn't much to that project, LOL. Just hems.

I didn't make this. But after a couple of years on the door, everything had faded. So I repainted it and added a "The Lastnames" plaque to it. :-)

  1. I wish I could sew. I THINK I can. I just don't have the time. Actually I haven't made the time.

    Anyway, good job!

  2. Now I'm inspired to make more jammies. The pajama pants I made the kids years ago were worn to the point of falling apart (and becoming "capri" length after a couple of years). If only there were 26 hours in a day....

  3. How very cute - seems like you've embraced the homemade that I'm running from. When I saw your shower curtains I was thinking about the beaded sheers I want for my terrific kitchen windows - but, well, errrr- sewing is not my gift. I had difficulty sewing the stars to the boys Tae Kwon Do uniforms, and only did so when Master Ko shook his finger at my washing the uniforms (Good, right?), with the stars on them (achievement, right?) , then being surprised when they all fell off because they are the equivalent of material patches the size of a finger digit (stupid, right?).....

I'll be back visiting your blog!!!! (Because I'm up at 2:30 complaining about lack of sleep, and I need some place to visit.)

  4. I'm pondering the idea of sewing some simple summer dresses for my girls...I think you may have inspired me to get out the sewing machine and head out for some cute fabric...

  5. That repainting job looks like fun! And you did an awesome job on it.
I've wanted to try those pajama pants but haven't gotten around to it.
I do enjoy doing curtains...if they fit! 80% of the time, I don't get enough fabric or measure wrong and they end up short. Aaargh. The reason I like doing them is that they are FAST and easy. Four seams, ZIP, zip, zip and zip and I can hang it.
I'm kind of like that - short attention span. :D
You crafts are beautiful! I'm impressed!
