Diddy on ABC tonight.




Unless you've been living under a rock, you know that Sean "P Poppa Diddy Puff" Combs is in a remake of "A Raisin in the Sun" TONIGHT on ABC.

I saw the original with Sidney Poitier & Ruby Dee. Not when it was released. I'm not quite that old...

I thought it was "ok". Nothing wrong with the performances. I guess I just have a hard time identifying with the "Good Times" kind of life. When I was growing up, my home life was more like The Cosby Show than What's Happening. Nodamene?

But I'm interested enough to see if Diddy can do a good job with the role.

He was on Oprah on Friday talking about how it wasn't that long ago that he was poor. That he still remembers the look in his mother's eyes when he asked for a new pair of sneakers & she couldn't afford them. He said he decided then and there that he never wanted to see that look in her eyes again.

So he has some real life experience from which to draw.

I will be watching. Will you?
