Thank Baby Jesus, school starts soon.

Feeling Normal

W

hich means I will be back on the computer ALL DAY again, LOL.

The Boy cramps my style.

My favorite part was when Diddy's mentor told him that he needed to lose weight. So around the middle of August, I should be back to dropping Entrecards, visiting my favorite blogs & having High Fives on Friday. :-)

OMG! Did you watch "Making His Band" on MTV starring our favorite precious celebrity???

It was interesting watching the vetting process, but my favorite part was when Diddy's mentor told him that he needed to lose weight.

:-)

It doesn't feel so good when the shoe is on the other foot, does it? I can't wait until Lorianne (I think that's her name?) gives him hell, LOL.

Harry Potter & the Half Blood Prince

Feeling Normal

E

arlier this week, Mommy Dearest took us out for dinner and offered to pay for Evan to go to the movies so that he will have done something this summer besides sleep. :-)

I stopped taking him to the theater because he would talk constantly and I can't pause like at home. It's too expensive for me to spend money on a movie that 1) I'll miss part of and B) I'll probably buy on DVD anyway.

But we went to the NEW 10 screen theater yesterday and saw Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.

When I read the book, I was very irritated that Dumbledore had died, but since it's been years and I was prepared for it (and I never really got attached to this Dumbledore like I had with Richard Harris) I was okay with it.

It was nice to go into a theater that wasn't sticky on the floor and didn't smell like feet. The movie was LOUD. I knew I should have brought my ear plugs, but of course I forgot. I ended up stuffing napkins in my ears.

Jaysus.

We were the only people in the theater.

I swear, Evan changed seats 327 times. After the movie was over, he said "Well, we were the only ones in there."

???

It's like he thought each seat would be different or something (they were rocking seats, just like the old theater).

It was nice to go into a theater that wasn't sticky on the floor and didn't smell like feet, LOL.

I did NOT like the fact that they have stairs in there instead of a ramp. Very handicapped unfriendly, IMO.

I moved back as far as I could so that it wouldn't be so effing loud. I'm surprised I'm not deaf.

As far as the movie goes, if you liked the other Harry Potters, you'll love this one too. There were lots of funny bits, like when Ron eats chocolates that have been dosed with love potion.

Ginny (The girl Harry eventually ends up with) was as tall or taller than Harry. LOL! They didn't know he'd be short when they cast him 9 years ago, LOL. Whatever. Short men need love too, I guess. ;-)

That is all for now.

I dig the new haircut!

Guess What

Feeling Normal

I

had all the HTML & widgets for this blog on my hard drive of the old computer.

I just realized that my favorite blogs are not on the blog anymore.

Which means that unless you comment, I do not know where your blog is.

Handle it in whatever way you feel is appropriate...

More Sleep Talking

Feeling Normal

W

ell, apparently I spoke in my sleep again.

Let me set the scene:

Me: On the bed, asleep with the TV on
Evan: On the computer with the headphones on

Awwww, that baby is cuteMe - Awwww, that baby is cute
Evan - *Taking headphones off* What?
Me - I said that baby is cute.
Evan - What baby?
Me - *sitting up to look @ Evan* The baby on the page.
Evan - Uh...ok?

HA!

I do wonder WTF I dream about and why I'm talking in my sleep.

At least I know I'm not having sex dreams because as soon as he heard "Ohhhh, Hugh" Evan would start screaming and run from the room...

Warehouse 13 on SyFy

Feeling Normal

T

his week started a new crop of tv shows (I can't tell you how thrilled I am that Eureka is back.) One of the new shows was Warehouse 13.

It was a 2 hour premier. I think I fell asleep trying to watch it 3 times, which made me think I was going to hate it. Or, at least, not like it very much.

But to be fair, I finally watched it yesterday, when I wasn't sleepy, LOL.

It reminded me of X-files. Seriously. The guy who is open to everything and thinks "the truth is out there" and the woman/his new partner who is strictly by the rules and thinks the guy is a little...prone to flights of fancy.

Anyway, I did like watching this newer version of Scully & Mulder. :-)

The show is about 2 Secret Service agents who are reassigned to Warehouse 13. Their new jobs are to track down "objects" that might be harmful in the world if they are allowed to remain outside with the populace.

I think if you liked X-Files, you will like this.I thought it was interesting that they said things like "This vehicle is powered by your internal electricity. Henry Ford built it before the car, but the car company decided that they'd make more money with something that broke down & would be replaced" (Not an exact quote, but you get the gist.)

They mentioned Tesla & a few other scientists I've heard of from movies (like The Prestige) or real life. It always makes it more believable if the "great minds" people talk about are actual great minds and not fictional characters, don't you think?

Whatever.

I think if you liked X-Files, you will like this.

Tuesdays @ 9 EST on SyFy (formerly Sci-Fi).

That is all.

Wrong number...

Feeling Normal

I

was just catching up @ Cardiogirl's place when I saw a comment from JD @ I do things.

I must admit, I rarely read all the comments in the VIP lounge. I don't know why that one caught my eye. It was something like "Why do I feel the need to apolgize when someone calls me with the wrong #? I don't want to be rude to a perfect stranger."

*sigh*

This keyboard is pissing me OFF. I keep thinking I'm pressing "END" and it's backspace. Why the EFF does a keyboard need to change? I need the function keys. I need the numberpad or whatever you call it like a calculator. I like End, Delete, Home, Print Screen, and Tab. All this other crap? Couldn't care less. It's like learning to type all over again. It's so spaced out. It's giving me a headache.

I have found that it is really enjoyable to answer the phone with "Hey, bitch!"Anyway, back to the original subject that I was on before I accidentally hit "Home" instead of backspace.

It's MY phone. I pay the phone bill. I have it for MY convenience, not yours.

Do not call ME and say "Who is this?" If you don't know, you've obviously misdialed and your reaction should be "I'm sorry, I have the wrong #"

Do not call me and and expect me to help you figure out where you went wrong. I don't care. I don't even know you. I was probably watching TV or trying to nap when you interrupted me with your BS. I don't know what number you were trying to dial, I only know the number you reached.

Mine.

I have no problem hanging up on you mid-sentence.

And while we're at it, don't call me and act like you know me when you don't. I have caller ID. I know you don't know me because I don't know you.

I have found that it is really enjoyable to answer the phone with "Hey, bitch!" when it's a stranger's #. They usually hang up right away, LOL. Sometimes they stutter through an "Uh...sorry? Wrong number." before hanging up. I love it either way.

I just hope my grandmother doesn't call me from a pay phone, LOL.

Is anybody a CSS whiz?

Feeling Normal

B

ecause this is what I see when I look at my blog:

Angelika's Blog Screenshot

Not cool.

I keep messing with the HTML, but it never looks right. It looked right on my old monitor (1024x768 resolution) but with this 1600x900 it's just all stretched out.

Any tips?

Butt cramps & a stiff back

Feeling Tired

Y

eah, you read that right.

I've spent the last...19 hours uploading music to iTunes. And of course, most of the CDs I have are old, so none of the info is online. I have to type in the title of every song.

----------------
Now playing: Prince and the Revolution - The Beatiful Ones

It wasn't until I got up and my special leg wanted to freak out and my butt cheek started cramping that I thought "Maybe I shouldn't sit there so long".

So I took a xanax and went to sleep.

For about 3 hours!?!?!?

*sigh*

Anyway, I have all my Prince, George Michael, Billy Joel & Ray Charles uploaded. Now I have to upload the CDs I made for myself. That will take much longer because I have to listen to the freaking song to know what it is.

----------------
Now playing: LMFAO - I'm In Miami Bitch

On the plus side, I AM impressed with the speed of this new computer.

My old computer was about 7 years old. And I had A LOT of shit on there that slowed it down. It used to take about 10 minutes to start up, so we left it on most of the time.

This loads in 2 minutes or something.

I just have to find the CD that came with the scanner so that I can hook that up. Of course it isn't with ALL THE OTHER INSTALLATION CDs I HAD IN THE DRAWER.

Grrrrrr.

I'm going to drug myself again.

Ta!

New Computer

Feeling Sad

I

am enjoying some things about this new computer.

Some things tick me off.

I don't like the keyboard. Keys like "End" "delete"
are in totally different places. Now I actually have to LOOK at the freaking keyboard to type.

And even though I have this ginormous new monitor, the colors are all off. It looks faded.

Not to mention that this is 1600 x 900 when my old one was 1264 x 768 (or something) so my blog looks WRONG.

And I had so many plugins on Paintshop Pro, I can't remember them all.

AND I have to re-upload ALL of my songs to iTunes.

It will be weeks (or months) before I feel like this thing is mine.

:-(

MD did enjoy being able to watch Al Green in widescreen, which is practically lifesize. I told her that I'd better not find lip prints on my monitor, LOL.

Did I mention that I hate Windows Vista?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Feeling Stressed

O

MG. My computer is kaput, as of this morning.

MD is loaning us the money to get a new one.

Maybe tonight.

I'm not looking forward to uploading all of the software. :-(

But, at least it will be faster and have more memory!

Just stuff

Feeling Normal

S

o, I don't have much to say.

Monday, MD called me. Rather than use my minutes listening to her say "I had something to tell you, but I can't remember. I know I keep saying I'm going to start a list and put it beside the phone for when you call, but I keep forgetting." or "Did you see --INSERT NAME OF SHOW I DON'T WATCH HERE--? What did you think of --INSERT SOMETHING I DON'T ARE ABOUT HERE--?" I just went over there.

One of her smoke detectors was beeping. She can't reach them. I got one down, but that wasn't the one that was beeping so we needed Evan to change her batteries. (No, he's still not taller than us, but he's the only one who will climb up, LOL.)

"Join my mobs on 140 Mafia."Yesterday I went out to get some more cigars & Evan refused to come with me. He claims it was too hot. Speaking of which, my landlord predicts that we will soon have rolling blackouts because it's so effing hot here...

Anyway, MD called me again to complain that she hadn't gotten any sleep because the smoke detector kept beeping all night.

Evan said he wanted Subway for dinner.

Me - Maybe if you go to her house and change the batteries in the smoke detector, she will take you to Subway.

*sigh*

So I drove him back down there, he changed the batteries, and then we went by Subway for him and she and I had Kentucky Grilled Chicken.

:-)

Join my mobs on 140 Mafia.

Thanks.
